The new immi is finally here 🍜. More flavor 👌. More slurp 😋. Available now!

Keto-Friendly Millionaire’s Bacon Carbonara Ramen

When we were still on keto, we tried incorporating bacon into every meal.

Bacon and avocados for breakfast? Check.

Bacon and cheese covered ground beef patties with a side of bacon for lunch? Check.

Bacon ramen for dinner? Check. Wait what?

You heard that right. We were throwing pan-fried bacon onto our immi ramen as a topping and calling it a day.

It’s better than it sounds, but we knew we could do better than that.

We tested this recipe several times before we got it right, and now, we’re revealing our latest immi recipe.

Keto-Friendly Millionaire’s Bacon Carbonara Ramen

  • Author: Kevin Lee

  1. 6 pieces of uncured thick-cut bacon
  2. 2 tbsp brown erythritol (Swerve is a good option)
  3. 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  4. 1/4 tsp of red pepper chili flakes
  5. 4 eggs
  6. 1 small block of pecorino cheese
  7. Salt
  8. Pepper
  9. 1 serving of immi ramen noodles

Note: We prefer using a cast iron for the millionaire’s bacon but you can use any pan that you can put in an oven

Keto-Friendly Millionaire’s Bacon

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Scoop 2 tbsp of brown erythritol into a bowl.
  3. Add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper.
  4. Add 1/4 tsp of red pepper chili flakes.
  5. Mix this all together with a spoon. The brown erythritol is sticky so it is a bit hard to mix but try your best.
  6. Put this mixture onto a flat plate.
  7. Coat 2 bacon slices (on both sides) with this mixture. Use your fingers to press down so that the mixture sticks to each side of the bacon (if you prefer less sweet tasting millionaire’s bacon, then you don’t have to coat as much).
  8. Put the 2 coated bacon slices onto a cast iron pan and put it into the oven. Set your timer for 10-12 minutes (depending on how crispy you like your bacon).
  9. After the timer finishes, take the cast iron pan out and let it rest while you make your carbonara ramen.

Carbonara Ramen

  1. Crack 2 full eggs into a bowl. Then take the 2 remaining eggs, separate out the yolk and only add the yolks to the same bowl.
  2. Grate pecorino cheese into the bowl. Shave like there’s no tomorrow.
  3. Add salt and pepper and mix everything well. Set the bowl aside.
  4. Take the other 4 pieces of bacon and cut them into small slices.
  5. Pan fry the bacon slices until browned and then turn the stove to low heat.
  6. Take out your cooked ramen noodles of choice (we prefer immi’s low-carb, high protein, keto-friendly ramen noodles) and add them to the pan while mixing them with the pan-fried bacon.
  7. Turn off the stove, and take the pan off to rest for a few minutes. You want to let the pan cool down for awhile so that when you add the carbonara sauce, it doesn’t end up cooking into scrambled eggs.
  8. After a few minutes, pour the bowl of carbonara sauce into the pan and mix well.

Final Dish

  1. Put the carbonara ramen onto a plate.
  2. Top with the millionaire’s bacon.
  3. Enjoy!

Food Facts to Get Rameducated

  • The average American consumes 18 pounds of bacon every year. That’s almost the weight of a dachshund in bacon.
  • During WWII, the U.S. government urged citizens to donate their excess bacon fat to the army. A whole committee was even created for it: The American Fat Salvage Committee. The fat was used to make glycerin which in turn was used to make bombs.
