- 2 apples, chopped
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup oats
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups warm water
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped apples and cinnamon.
- Cook while stirring until the apples soften (about 3–5 minutes).
- Mix the cooked apples with the oats until well combined.
- For steamed egg, in a heat-safe bowl, whisk together the eggs, warm water, and salt.
- Place the bowl in a pot. Add hot water to the pot until it reaches halfway up the bowl.
- Cover the pot and cook over low–medium heat for about 12 minutes, keeping the water at a gentle simmer.
- Sprinkle scallions on top and drizzle with soy sauce. Continue steaming for 3 more minutes.
- Enjoy the traditional breakfast with any kind of tea.
